FLASH is a sole trader business run by Ed Loveridge, who is responsible for the personal information you give us. Contact: batterytest@loveridge.org.

What we collect

When you request a test we collect your name, email, phone number, the vehicle's registration and make/model, the postcode where the car is, and your preferred date and time. During the test we collect battery data from the vehicle.

Why we use it

Only to arrange and carry out your battery test, produce and send your report, and take payment. We don't sell your details or use them for marketing without asking.

Who we share it with

Our website host (Netlify) stores form submissions. Battery data is processed by our technology partner, Generational, to produce your report. Stripe processes card payments; we never see or store your full card details. Anyone with your certificate's reference can verify it online.

How long we keep it

If your request doesn't lead to a booking, we delete your details within 12 months.

If you book a test, we keep your booking, payment and report records until 6 years after the end of the tax year the test took place in. The law requires us to keep business records for tax purposes, and the records also help if there's ever a question about a test.

After that, we delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
